COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL FOR 7-23

In county Municipal Court on Tuesday, a Salem man was sentenced to 30 days of electronically monitored house arrest and was fined $500 for assault.

Michael Van Horn Jr., 22, Continental Drive, pushed a woman onto a cot, choked her and punched her about the face and head.

Ralph Moore III, 22, Hawkins Road, New Waterford, pleaded not guilty to OVI third offense and speeding; pretrial Aug. 25.

Patrick Pletcher, 47, Smith Road, Negley, was sentenced to three days of traffic school, was fined $780 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and lane violations.

Darin Kendall, 32, Massillon, was sentenced to three days of traffic school, was fined $750 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and left of center.

Brian Moore, 21, state Route 170, Negley, was sentenced to three days of traffic school, was fined $750 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and lane violations.

Katlynn Minerd, 20, Bacon Avenue, East Palestine, was sentenced to three days of traffic school, was fined $730 and had her driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and lane violations.

John Chafin Jr., 20, Richardson Avenue, Negley, was sentenced to three days of traffic school, was fined $730 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and speeding.

Brett Young, 22, West North Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $375 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense. A charge of marked lanes against Young was dismissed.

James Oiler, 26, Old state Route 45, Lisbon, pleaded not guilty to resisting arrest and disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated; pretrial Sept. 3. Oiler is accused of picking up a piece of wood, dropping it, picking up a cinderblock, attempting to throw it at his brother and having to be forced to the ground by a county sheriff's deputy.

A charge of domestic violence against Natalie Schmitt, 42, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was dismissed.

Michael Withers, 43, Calla Road, Salem, was fined $300 for reckless operation, amended from commercial vehicle with measurable detectable amount alcohol, and max width height/length.

Charges of underage consumption and obstructing official business against John Powell, 19, Prospect Street, Salem, were dismissed without prejudice.

Timothy Crowe, 21, West Washington Street, Lisbon, pleaded not guilty to driving under suspension, speeding and a seat belt violation; pretrial Sept. 22.

Kristopher Koons, 31, Alliance, pleaded not guilty to driving under suspension and speeding; pretrial Aug. 31.

Joshua Swanson, 21, Richey School Road, Hanoverton, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

James Donnalley, 20, North Cross Street, Columbiana, pleaded not guilty to unsafe vehicle and drug paraphernalia; pretrial Sept. 21.

Michael Greaves, 57, East North Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $100 for drug paraphernalia.

Rolando Villegas, 31, Youngstown, pleaded not guilty to passing bad checks; pretrial Aug. 27.

George Hawk, 22, Milan, was fined $50 for unsafe vehicle, amended from failure to yield right of way.
