NOVI, Mich. - Gussie Aldridge was the wife of the late Arnold Aldridge. She was the mother of Joan (Robert) Gordon of Sunnyvale, Calif., Doris (David) Hoyt of Mission Viejo, Calif., Earl (Mushen) Aldridge of Sunnyvale, Calif., Laura (Michael) Smith, Harry (Diana) Aldridge both of East Liverpool and Robin (Todd) Mays of Lisbon. Kristin (Raffi) Siyahian, James Hoyt, Phillip (Kierra) Smith, Jennie Smith, Dylan Mays, Janee' Mays, MaKinsy Aldridge, Arnold Aldridge, Chandler Aldridge and Elise Smith were her grandchildren. Olivia, Violet and Colton Siyahian were her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Harvey Manser of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, sister-in-law Thelma Clover of The Villages, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gussie was born April 27, 1919, in Midland, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Ethel and Earl Manser. She grew up in Windsor, Ontario, and moved to Detroit, Mich., in 1940 when she was married. She became a United States citizen in 1945. She and her family lived in Michigan, Tennessee, West Virginia, Ohio and South Carolina. When her husband passed away, she returned to East Liverpool to live near her younger children.

Services will be held in Novi, Mich.

The Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes is in charge of the local arrangements.
