In county Municipal Court Monday, a Salem man was placed on $10,000 bond on a felony charge of burglary.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday for Richard J. Johnson, 21, East Ninth Street. Johnson is accused of entering an East Fourth Street, Salem, home of people who do not know him, placing his shoes at the front door, going to sleep in a living room chair and admitting to police that he had consumed about eight servings of beer.

David Clarkson III, 26, Miller Road, Leetonia, pleaded not guilty to resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct; pretrial July 9. Clarkson is accused of jumping on a truck, yelling profanities, having a bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey in his hand, running from police and having to be taken to the ground while trying to fight with police.

Ronald Plachecki, 71, Bittner Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail and was fined $250 for no operator's license, amended from driving under OVI suspension; review hearing Sept. 8.

Richard Lowe, 30, state Route 45, pleaded not guilty to OVI second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, failure to display valid sticker and a seat belt violation; pretrial July 16.

Cassie Souders, 26, Elkton West Point Road, was sentenced to three days of traffic school, was fined $750 and had her driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and lane violations.

John Simonds, 46, Main Street, Leetonia, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense, hit/skip and reckless operation; pretrial June 30.
