Triangle Seniors

CALCUTTA - The Triangle Seniors met at 1 p.m. June 17 at the Peter Metrovich Center with Gerry Bodinar, president, presiding.

Marge Fickle, first vice president, called on trustee Pete Kish to read scripture. Fickle then led members in saying the Lord's Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance and a verse of America and the club song.

June Mullen read the secretary's report and it was approved as read. Lois Brown read the treasurer's report and it was also approved as read.

Elsie Merriman, second vice president, called on committee reports. In the absence of Cindy Williams, Marie Quarterman gave the hospitality report and said 42 members and one guest, Jane Rudder, were present. The door prize was won by Helen Musiolowski.

Bodinar reported on the upcoming trip to the Riverside Dinner Theatre on June 23.

It will be to see a comedy "The Golden Door" for $65 which includes dinner. Anyone interested can contact Bodinar at 330-385-6811. She also thanked Blanche and Fred Putnam for supplying the strawberry shortcake. The meeting was then adjourned.

Janet Knight, program chairman, had a contest for the men for Fathers Day and then gave out prizes. Knight then had each of the men tell everyone what they were thankful for. The men were Dick Green, Harry Hamilton, Pete Kish, Lou Krawiek, Don Miller, Ralph Miller, Fred Putnam and Darrell Wilson. Knight then asked Elaine Green to sing. Green sang "Daddy's Hands." Bingo and cards followed.

The next meeting will be at noon July 1. Everyone is to bring a bag lunch. Anyone 55 and older is welcome to join. The center is off Pugh Road in Calcutta.

TOPS 1341

GLENMOOR - Tops Ohio 1341 met June 15 at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church with leader Janice Hutchin presiding. Jennifer Ludwig was best loser and Marwynn Serafy was runner up. Winners of the weekly drawings were weight loss, Jean Dinch; calorie chart, Margaret Jackman; junk foods, Ludwig; and 50/50, Sally Nicholson. No-no's chosen for the week are all soda and potato chips.

The secretary's and treasurer's reports were read and approved. Tracy Rickard was three times in the losers book. A new contest began with Ludwig in charge. It is called "Move it and Lost it" and will run for four weeks. Phillips won for exercising the most for the week. Phillips presented the program and passed out gift bags to the winners. The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer. The meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church. New and former members are welcome.
