Columbiana County Municipal for 6-20
In county Municipal Court on Thursday, a Salem man was placed on $10,000 bond on a charge of domestic violence.
A pretrial was scheduled for June 25 for Lance Steffel, 54, East State Street. He is accused of entering the home where his wife resides through a basement window, breaking a door handle, entering the main part of the house and threatening and pushing his wife with his hands to her back.
Brock Lang, 43, Newell, W.Va., was sentenced to three days of traffic school, was fined $750 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and failure to move for public safety vehicle.
Chad Saunders, 29, Crestview Road, Columbiana, pleaded not guilty to driving under suspension and lane violations; pretrial Aug. 27. Saunders was fined $30 for speeding.
Judith Welch, 36, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
Jacob Garbo, 36, South Main Street, Columbiana, was fined $180 for a seat belt violation and speeding.
Francis Blinsky, 61, Pershing Street, Columbiana, was fined $150 for assault, amended from domestic violence.
Eric Rogers, 18, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for underage consumption.
Jenna Durbin, 21, Spring Grove Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, amended from failure to reinstate license.
Ashlie Jezek, West Main Street, Salineville, was fined $40 for two counts of failure to register dogs.
Patricia Daniels, 43, West Pine Lake Road, Salem, was fined $35 for speeding.
In county Municipal Court on Friday, an East Palestine man was bound over to grand jury on a charge of felonious assault.
Bond continued at $150,000 for Dennis Altenburg, 55, East Martin Street, who is accused of stabbing his nephew in the stomach with a 12-inch butcher knife.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for William Henderson, 65, Sebring, for felonious assault. Bond was set at $25,000. A pretrial was scheduled for July 2 for Henderson for criminal damaging. Henderson is accused of assaulting a woman with a metal pipe and breaking the windshield on her vehicle with the pipe.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 18 for Donna Greaves, 44, Columbia Street, East Palestine, for trafficking in drugs. Bond continued at $25,000. Greaves is accused of selling or offering to sell a substance believed to be crack cocaine.
Roy Hawkins, 68, St. Jacob Logstown Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 20 days in the county jail, was fined $730 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense, broken windshield and a seat belt violation; review hearing Nov. 10.
Amanda Erdel, 19, North Pearl Street, Columbiana, pleaded not guilty to theft; pretrial July 27. Erdel is accused of stealing beef jerky from Circle K.
Christina Wilson, 24, Canton, was fined $300 for driving without a valid license and use of unauthorized plate.
Jeffrey Whitmyer, 47, Massillon, was fined $150 for driving without a valid license, amended from driving under suspension.
Caroline Lester, 22, Park Way, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Brian Ketchum, 42, Laughlin Road, Lisbon, was fined $50 for speeding.
Carrie Gecina, 44, New Castle, Pa., was fined $35 for speeding.
On Thursday in the court, sentencing was scheduled for July 9 for Daniel McWilliams, 25, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, on a charge of theft. McWilliams took 25 sour apple rolling tubes from Circle K on West State Street.
