Ronald Yorko
CHESTER Ronald J. Yorko, 67, of Carolina Avenue died at 1:14 p.m. Thurdsay, May 7, 2009, at the East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.
Born July 20, 1941, in New Cum-berland, a son of Alberta Yorko of New Cumberland and the late Joseph Yorko, he was a member of the Class of 1959 of New Cumberland High School.
He returned to the Chester area in 1979 after serving 20 years in the U.S. Army during which time he fought in the Vietnam War serving in Cu Chi, Vietnam. He was the Plant Manager at Resco Products Inc., formerly known as the Crescent Brick Co. in New Cumberland.
In addition to his mother, he is survived at home by his wife, Deborah M. Yorko; two daughters, Sandra Crawford and her husband, Ronald of East Palestine, and Catherine Talbert and her husband, Christopher of East Liverpool; and a son, Ronald A. Yorko and his wife, Amber of Exmore, Va.; two sisters, Francine Moore and her husband, Ed of New Cumberland, and Brenda Koski and her husband, Jay of New Cumberland; one brother, Jerry Yorko and his wife, Sherry of Toronto, Ohio and two grandchildren, Ronald Crawford of East Palestine, and Natalie Talbert of East Liverpool.
Prayers will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, led by Pastor Timothy W. Martin. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
