Common Pleas for 4-21

April 21, 2009
The Review

An East Liverpool woman who forged another woman's signature on credit card receipts and possessed the woman's stolen credit cards pleaded guilty to two fifth-degree felony counts.

Debra Reynolds, 34, of 810 St. John St., East Liverpool, entered the guilty pleas in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for receiving stolen property and forgery, with Judge C. Ashley Pike scheduling sentencing for June 19.

Court documents said Reynolds received 10 credit cards belonging to Melissa Halulko which had been stolen and forged her signature on credit clips in East Liverpool on July 5.

Also in Common Pleas Court:

Jerry Lewis, 50, of 29 Church St., Salineville, was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail and ordered to complete 90 days of electronically-monitored home confinement after his jail release after his community control was terminated because he violated the terms. He had been placed on probation under community control for four years for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. Documents said Lewis possessed a crack pipe containing cocaine during a traffic stop in Salineville on Jan. 19, 2004.
