BLANCHESTER, OH - Olive Johnson, age 85, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 7, 2009. She passed away surrounded by family and friends in Blanchester, Ohio at the Blanchester Care Center. Olive was born in New Matamoras, Ohio on Feb. 22,1924. She was a long time resident of East Liverpool and a recent resident of Eatonton, Georgia.

She is survived by her five children, Carol J. Wyke and husband Tommy of Willard, OH; Joyce E. Baker and husband Thomas of Eatonton, GA.; Kathleen L. McKinnon and husband Gerald of Midland, OH.; George W. Johnson III and wife Denise of Roanoke, VA; and John Michael Johnson and wife Angela of East Liverpool, OH. She also has eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband George W. Johnson, Jr., five brothers; four sisters; one grandson, and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday by Pastor Bill Rudder at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Home 15872 St.Clair Ave.Calcutta, OH 43920. Graveside Services will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell,W.Va. The family will be present to receive friends from 1-3 and 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday at the Calcutta Chapel.
