The Review

Ronald E. "Ron" Stoner, age 66, of Delaware formerly of East Liverpool died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at home surrounded by his family.

A U.S. Air Force veteran and retired plant operator for the water department in Westerville, he also worked as plant operator for Ohio Edison at the Stratton plant.

Ornery and at times stubborn, he was most proud of his family and service to country.

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Constance E. "Connie" (Sturgell); children Wayne (Annie) Stoner of Loveland, CO, Katheleen (Darrell) Wallace of Laurelville, Amee (Tracey) Sword of Delaware; grand-children Zachary, Katy, Emily, Kylee, Marisa, Iain, Devin, Meghin; mother, Mildred L. (Blosser) Stoner, sister Kathy (Glen) Wilt, brother-in-law William (Sheryl) Sturgell, and sister-in-law Deborah (Kenneth) Cooke.

Preceded in death by his father, Raymond and nephew Jason Wilt.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware, OH, where services will also be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Graveside services will follow 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery in Bremen with military honors.
