EAST LIVERPOOL Elinor N. Roe, 78, of Lisbon Street, died at 12:36 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at the Medical Center in Beaver.
Born Oct. 5, 1930, in McMechen, W.Va., a daughter of the late Herbert and Lottie Ellis, she moved to this area in 1957.
She had worked as a teacher's aide for the East Liverpool School District until her retirement.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Disciples where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving is her husband, Raymond D. Roe, Sr., whom she married May 21, 1957.
Also surviving are two daughters, Ella Mae Kennedy and her husband, Kenneth, of East Liverpool and June Lee Boley and her husband, John, of East Palestine; and a son, Raymond D. Roe, Jr., of Wellsville.
There are three grandchildren, Angela Boyd, Joshua Boley and Raymond J.R. Roe.
There are three great-grandchildren, Chelsea Boyd, and Cody and Ricky Brightwell, along with three great-great-grandchildren, Marissa, Isaiah and Nicholas Boyd.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Rev. Willard Adkins of the church will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial is to be in Riverview Cemetery.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the First Church of Christ, Disciples for fellowship.
