EAST LIVERPOOL - David E. Randolph, Sr., 68, of W. Fourth Street died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26. 2008, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born March 11, 1940, in Brilliant, a son of the late John and Dorothy Mae Randolph, he had lived in this area since 1946.
A Methodist by faith, he had been employed at the former Traveler's Hotel, the East Liverpool Area YMCA, the former Smith and Phillips and was a kiln placer at Homer Laughlin China Co. at one time.
He was a member of East Liverpool Moose Lodge No. 122.
Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Smith and Anita Adkins and her husband, Jason; and two sons, David E. Randolph, Jr. and his companion, Gail McKee, and Richard L. Randolph and his companion, Jeannie Peddicord, all of East Liverpool.
Also surviving is his companion, Karen Yeager of East Liverpool.
There are 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by four sisters, Mary Waggoner and her husband, Willie, of Pensacola, Fla.; Jean Mick and her husband, Tim, of Uhrichsville, Ohio; Dorothy Green of East Liverpool; and Olive Wright and her husband, Junior, of Minerva; and a brother, Bernard Randolph, and his companion Alice Squires, of Wellsville.
Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Keith Wilkinson of Pensacola, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Connie Francis of East Liverpool.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Wells Randolph, who died April 12, 1993.
Also preceding him was a sister, Janet Wilkinson, and a brother, Gary Randolph.
Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Norman Eckert will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial is to be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
