Charlotte “Lottie” Johnson, 94

CHESTER - Charlotte "Lottie" Johnson, 94, of Chester, passed away Aug. 16, 2008.

She was born Jan. 29, 1914, in Oakdale, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles and Laura Shearing Ahlborn.

Charlotte retired after working many years as a cook at South Side School System and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hookstown.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson; a son, Robert C. Johnson; three sisters, Frances Ahlborn, Mildred Kimmel and Anna Darke; and a brother, Charles Milton Ahlborn.

She is survived by a son, James Johnson and wife, Mary, of Chester; two grandchildren, Tami Frederick and husband, Jimmy, and Bobbie Jo Young; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Nathan, Joey and Kate; a sister-in-law, Jean Ahlborn, Burgettstown; and a brother-in-law, Frank Darke of California.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2008, in the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home, where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Interment will be in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery of Georgetown, Pa.
