Roma Michael Adkins, 81

MARTINSVILLE, W.Va. - Roma Michael Adkins, age 81, a native of Martinsville, W.Va., a longtime resident of East Liverpool, and a current resident of Robertsdale, Ala., passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008.

After proudly serving his country during World War II, he worked at Crucible Steel Mill for 41 years. There he represented his coworkers as a union representative. During this time he was also a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Adkins Burchett of Toledo, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hazel Adkins of Robertsdale, Ala.; sons, Terry Adkins and his wife Paula of East Liverpool, Michael Adkins of Columbus; daughter, Debbie Adkins Blair of Mobile; eight grandchildren; brother, Marion Sias of East Liverpool; sister, Dolly Cook of East Liverpool; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Funeral services and interment will be held in the Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Beaver, Pa., Saturday, July 26, 2008, at 11 a.m.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time.
