Born on Feb. 10, 1973, in East Liverpool, he is survived by his father, Colan Alford and his wife Kim of Lisbon, and his mother, Gwen Cain and her husband Lee of Negley.
A dedicated and loving father, son, brother and uncle, Dexter worked as a union brick layer following graduation from Beaver Local High School, and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, sharing his love of the outdoors with his daughter and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Negley Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Dexter is survived by Heather Staley, of Chester, mother of their daughter, Ambria “Baby Bones” Alford, at home. His brother, Paul (Janet) Alford and their children Dalton and Drake, of Chester; sisters Robin Cain and her daughter Danielle “Baby Goose” Jarvis, of East Liverpool, Diana (Tim) Neiman and their children Ella and Liam, of Mt Gretna, Pa., and family friend Kayla Brown, of Negley, also survive.
Donna Todd will officiate services at noon on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester followed by burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10a.m. until the time of the service. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
