William F. Wright, 69

LISBON — William F. Wright, 69 of state Route 7, Lisbon, died on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.

A son of the late Arnold R. and Ruth May Wright, Bill was born on Dec. 8, 1932, in East Liverpool.

A very active and devoted member of the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ in Chester, Bill retired as a clerk after 42 years of service from the Chester Post Office. He was also a 1956 graduate of the former Chester High School.

His loving wife, Patricia A. Dunn Wright, whom he married on Sept. 7, 1963, survives at home.

Also surviving is a son, Scott Wright and his wife Teresa of East Liverpool, two daughters, Scherry Wilson of Salem, and Lori Scullion of Lisbon, two brothers, David Wright of Chester, and Arnold Wright and his wife Pat of Huntsville, Ala.; and one sister Linda Smith and her husband Jesse of Atlanta, Ga.

In addition there are five grandchildren, Tiffany and Amanda Rambo, Zachary and Tyler Wilson, and Emily Scullion, and one great-grandson, Blake Lucas.

Evangelist Frank Higginbotham of the church will conduct services on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester.

Friends and family will gather at the Virginia Ave. Church of Christ fellowship hall on Wednesday immediately following the services at the cemetery.
