Six Recycling invests in the future

EAST LIVERPOOL — With a name like "The Prospector" you know the new piece of equipment at Six Recycling has to be interesting. "It's something that has really helped us out," Greg Six, president of Six Towing, said. The Six Towing Company officially bought the scrap yard in the early 1990s. The Prospector wire processor, made by Nexgen, includes the latest technology for efficiently reclaiming copper or aluminum from used electrical wires. The new system grinds cables and dry-separates the copper or aluminum from plastic or rubber for clean, high value chops. The system is fully soundproofed and equipped with a dust collection system which means no dust emission to the environment. The Prospector also features low power requirements, a small footprint, is easy to move, place and install, and is easily maintained. That makes the new piece of equipment a valued commodity, according to Six.
