CHESTER — An East Liverpool man was seriously injured due to a workplace accident along Route 30 in Chester. An employee of Get-R-Done Paving, Scott Jackson, 26, of Lisbon Street, was working on a project in the parking lot lane between Chuggers and The Pint, located at 1294 Lincoln Highway, according to Sgt. Chuck Stanley of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department. “There were two guys working and shoveling to patch holes,” Stanley said. “There was some sort of miscommunication and the truck backed up and one of them, Jackson, was hit and run over.” The accident occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m. Thursday. Stanley said Jackson suffered from a broken leg and likely had internal injuries. The deputy was told the truck went over Jackson’s leg and up around his midsection as well. “He did not lose consciousness and was talking the whole time he was at the scene,” Stanley said.
