Gospel Music Festival July 12, 2008
SALEM - Three acclaimed southern gospel music groups will take the stage at the 2008 Gospel Music Festival on July 12 in Salem. For the first time, the festival will benefit area food pantries.
The Keelings of Hadley, Pa., a founding group for the festival in its fourth year, will be joined by The Pine Ridge Boys Quartet from Mooresville, N.C., and The Singing Weavers from Atwater, Ohio, for four hours of gospel music, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event will be held at the Chaparral Family Campground, 10136 Middletown Rd., Salem. This year the festival will benefit several area food pantries as nonperishable foods will be collected at the admission gate.
The Review is a media sponsor for the event and will help with distribution of the free tickets. Up to four tickets per person may be picked up at the newspaper's front desk during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A limited number of tickets will be available while supplies last.
To obtain up to four tickets by mail, send a self addressed stamped envelope to Gospel Music Festival Tickets C/O The Review, 210 East Fourth St., East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.
