Thanks & Spanks
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the parents who don’t seem to care about their attire as they drop their kids off at school or the bus stop. Get yourself together. Try modesty.
The ELHS Choir issues a big THANKS to those businesses and individuals who gave so generously to make the Oct. 19 pasta dinner and auction so successful. We are so blessed to have a community who values music education!
The ELHS Choir sends a THANKS to their booster organization and all the parents and friends who worked tirelessly picking up items, creating beautiful baskets and craft items, and working at the event.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to those in charge of the downtown ELO projects which seem to be behind schedule.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the Beaver Youth Soccer Association for providing a safe, fun and family-oriented place for the kids in our community. THANKS also to the volunteers who donate their time to take care of the fields. It is always so well maintained.
THANKS, writes a reader, to Columbiana County Sheriff’s Department for catching the person who stole my bank card in April. The thief was caught, jailed and sentenced last month. Everyone I had contact with was very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant, especially assistant prosecutor Don Humphrey Jr. and Det. Lt. Sweeny. It is nice to deal with such professional people even though I don’t live in the county.
THANKS, writes a reader, to Linda at Evan’s Fruit Market for the donation of fruit to East Liverpool City Schools’ Fruit and Vegetable Program. The donation was greatly appreciated.
THANKS, writes a reader, to East Liverpool City Hospital where I just had to spend a few days. Thanks to Dr. Thomas and the great nurses (Beth, two Allisons and all the others) who took care of me. We are blessed to have such a great hospital so close.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local police department for ticketing 11 motorists for “speeding” in a school zone.
