Thanks & Spanks

SPANKS, writes a reader, to those area communities who have failed to remove the Christmas banners hanging along their streets. It’s February, by the way.

THANKS, writes a reader, to the local dispatcher, the EMS, the nurses and doctors at ELCH for taking such amazing care of my grandson in our time of need. SPANKS, though, to whomever invented the 911 system. It is a broken system that insists on transferring people and putting them on hold instead of getting help in a timely manner!

SPANKS, writes a reader, to two adult men for causing such vulgar chaos at a high school girls basketball game that officials had to stop the game early. It was the last home game and only one I was able to attend to watch my granddaughter play. THANKS, though, to the high school administration for keeping it under control.

THANKS, writes a reader, to Mr. Barnes for all he does for the Leo Club. He’s always helping kids earn their community service hours.
