Kudos to KFC

Dear Editor:

Saturday, July 7, 2018, was a full day for my wife and I. About 8 p.m., we decided to get a bite at KFC. We pulled up to the drive-thru and ordered. When we came around to the pick up window there was a car in front of us. It was taking a bit of time for them to get their order so I shut off my engine to save gas. When I went to start it again, the battery was dead, completely. I walked up to the window and told them what happened.

Dana, the young lady who was the manager on duty, was super nice. She brought out her whole crew and they pushed my car out of the drive-thru and into a parking place. She said not to worry that I could leave my car there overnight if necessary. Then she handed me my dinner and said that it was no charge. “You’ve got enough problems right now,” she said.

One of the workers, named Joe, brought his car around and tried to jump my car battery. Unfortunately that didn’t work. I was able to get a new battery the next morning and put my car back on the road.

What a great bunch of people! Kudos to the East Liverpool KFC staff!
