Stop blaming God

Dear Editor:

The village of Wellsville’s administration has asked the people of Wellsville to remove down spouts from sanitary servers to keep run off from the rain from entering the sewage system. Now I think it’s time for them to practice what they preach.

During the heavy rains last week, I had 2-feet of raw sewage in my basement – costing me thousands of dollars in damage and loss, not to mention the clean up. They will tell you it’s an act of God, when it should be the village who corrects the problem.

The rain water should not tie into the sanitary server. I know something about the problem because I worked for the village for 33 years. Sure hope they take care of this problem and stop blaming God.
