Lessons in life

Dear Editor:

Thanks to those coaches who understand the importance of grooming their players to be our future leaders of this nation; of this world.

Thank you for taking these impressionable young people and helping to mold their characters into the person they will someday be; good or bad.

Thank you for helping to teach them some true facts of life; that life isn’t always fair; that it’s not always about who they know or really about how well they perform; that, more often than not, it’s about being in the right place at the right time when opportunity knocks.

Thank you for taking the few short hours, each day, day after day, week after week, and even year after year, imparting the character skills that will be with each one of these young people, as our future leaders, throughout their life time.
