President only enforcing law on immigration

President Donald Trump is being condemned roundly by some for his orders that dangerous illegal immigrants are to be rounded up and deported. Other immigration enforcement plans have drawn similar criticism.

It is misdirected.

Just weeks ago, Trump took an oath to enforce the nation’s laws. Each and every one of his actions on immigration, with the possible exception of orders to keep potentially dangerous people from seven countries out of the United States, is based on the law.

In other words, Trump is merely doing what he vowed to do — unlike some other presidents.

Those upset with Trump over immigration should be talking instead with their members of Congress.
