Alice M. Burris, 87

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Alice M. Burris, 87, of East Liverpool passed away peacefully on Feb. 3, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Scottsdale, Ariz. after a brief illness.

Born March 14, 1931 in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Edna (Zimmering) Eddy. A lifetime area resident and a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1949, she had worked with her husband in his auto repair business before his retirement.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bob on July 1, 2009; and by two sisters, Eleanor Bryarley and Martha Shelton.

Alice loved to spend time with her family. She was a wonderful, kind mother and grandma that would always blow a kiss to all who knew her leaving them with a smile.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Mike) Ballard of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Karen (Mike) Wise of East Liverpool; a sister Ruth Hogue of Knoxville, Tenn. and several nieces and their families; three grandchildren, Sarah (Zach) McLane of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; Nicholas (Kaylee) Wise, and Taylor Wise all of East Liverpool. She will also be dearly missed by her dog Buffy and her very special neighbors John and Wanda Reed who always kept an eye on her and treated her like their own mother.

There are no calling hours planned at this time. A memorial luncheon will be held at a later date.
