EAST PALESTINE — Charles J. Frankland, 88, of East Palestine, passed away at 2:36 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus.
He was born Jan. 16, 1930 in East Palestine, a son of the late William and Lucille Early Frankland.
He was a 1948 East Palestine High School graduate and a Veteran of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers serving during the Korean Conflict. He had retired as a machinist at the former Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill.
He was a member of the East Palestine Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Stuart) Frankland; three sons, James Frankland of Poland, Mark Frankland of Struthers, and Robert Frankland of Southington; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A brother, Richard Frankland and a sister-in-law, Mary K. Frankland also survive him.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Frankland and a sister, Donna Jean Dunn Grappo.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
