Audrea ‘Audrey’ Bosworth, 88

Together Again

NEWELL, W.Va. — Audrea “Audrey” Mae Bosworth, 88, of Newell, W.Va. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, peacefully at her home after a sudden stroke. She was born Oct. 16, 1930 in Walker, W.Va., daughter of the late, Samuel Young and Beaulah Peters.

A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister, she worked 25 years at former Taylor, Smith and Taylor Pottery as a ware dresser. She worked at the former Inn Town Motel after retirement. Audrea loved gardening, going for a ride, her little dog Jack and her family. She never knew a stranger and would help anyone, if they were in need. Along with gardening, she had a love for collecting salt and pepper shakers, lighthouses and Aunt Jemima memorabilia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Ray Bosworth in 2002; daughter, Janice Massingel in 1996 and a baby boy in 1965. Brothers: Sam Young in 2013, Harley Young in 1991, Roy Young in 2016 and sister Ida Lamp in 1996.

Audrea is survived by her son, Clarence ‘Boz’ (Deanna) Bosworth of Newell, W.Va.; daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Regina) Simms of Irondale, Ohio. A stepson, Thomas Bosworth of Jackson Co., W.Va. Grandchildren: Debera Gray, Mrs. Cody (Vanessa) Lawrence, Cheryl Bosworth, Mrs. Chris (Roxanne) Pinkerton and Dominic Bosworth. Step-granddaughters: Leslie Baldwin and Sarah Good. Great-grandchildren: Alexandriea, Elizzabeth, Ilaina, Oliveah, Ellyanna, Billy, Avery, Braydon, Austin, Logan, Caidynse, Parker and Hunter.

Audrea is also survived by brothers: Charles (Patty) Young of Chester, W.Va.; Lewis Young of Jackson Co., W.Va. and Denzel (Fran) Young, Mich., Sisters: Margaret Coleman, Nev.; Pauline (Ronald) Dennis, Fla.; Lucille Burdette of Ravenswood, W.Va.; Gertie (Dave) Hartman of Marne, Mich, and Nina Young, W.Va. Brother-in-laws: Roger (Linda) Bosworth of Girard, Ohio and Lee Bosworth of Austintown, Ohio. Sister-in-law: Eleanor Bosworth of East Liverpool, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by all!!

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, W.Va., where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. Burial will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, W.Va.
