Richard L. ‘Dick’ Miller,78

He was born Oct. 14, 1939, in Wellsville, the son of the late Ralph and Margaret E. (Campbell) Miller.

Dick served in the U.S. Army from 1957-64. He was employed for 23 years as a millwright for the former Crucible Steel Mill before retiring in 1982. Dick was always involved in various youth sports including volunteering as a baseball coach and serving as the former equipment manager for Wellsville Little League. He also enjoyed his senior bowling and golfing leagues. Dick was a member and past elder of Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine “Gerry” (Culp) Miller, whom he married July 6, 1960; one daughter, Debbie Haddox and her husband Butch of Glenmoor; two sons: Rick Miller and his wife Lisa of Wellsville, and Scott Miller and his wife Angela of East Liverpool; and two sisters: Myrna Mercer of Arizona and Rebecca Miller of Wellsville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Tarra, Joshua, Tyler, Levi, Richelle (Nate), Nickole (Charlie), Corey, Ricky, Cody, and Chelsea; and 10 great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Bayley, Tyler Ryan, Tatum, Maddox, Kyler, Carter, Marissa, Isaiah, and Nicholas.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, 17365 state Route 45, Wellsville, Ohio, with Pastor Jon Campbell and Pastor Bob Offerdahl officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Dick’s arrangements.
