CALCUTTA — Linda Mae Haynes, 72, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Calcutta Health Care after an extended illness.

Born in East Liverpool on March 10, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Guy Robert and Virginia Mae (Wright) Springer and had lived her entire life in the East Liverpool area.

Linda was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1964. She worked at the former Hills Department Store as a sales associate and worked as a substitute bus driver for East Liverpool Schools. She was a member of Longs Run Presbyterian Church and the Tops group of Wellsville.

She is survived by her husband, John L. Haynes, whom she married May 1, 1976.

Other survivors include, two daughters, Dawn Klein and her husband Jim of Columbiana and Dena White of East Liverpool, one son, Brian Haynes and his girl friend Michelle of Calcutta and seven grandchildren; Rachel and her husband, David, James John, Adam, T.J., Emily, Tyler, and Hanna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Haynes, and a brother, Robert Springer.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Co. Memorial Park at a later date.

Friends may call and visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until time of services.
