William B. ‘Bill’ Carpenter II, 61

EAST LIVERPOOL — William B. “Bill” Carpenter II, 61, of East Liverpool, died Thursday afternoon, April 12, 2018, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family.

Born June 11, 1956, in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of William B. Carpenter of California and the late Miriam Jean (Minesinger) Carpenter. He had worked as a truck driver with PGT Trucking, Monaca, until 2010 when illness prevented him from doing so. A graduate of South Side High School, Class of 1974, his passion was RC car racing, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. He was also an avid wood craftsman.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are his beloved wife, Cheryl (Whittington) Carpenter; his sons, Jason Irwin and Kelly Penrod and her children, Aislinn and Johnna, all of Hammondsville, Ohio; Andy Irwin, Leavittsburg, Ohio, and Mark Irwin and Charlene Schmidt, Monroeville, Ohio; a brother, George Carpenter, Calif.; sisters, Diane and Bill Lockwood, and Melanie Hinchee, all of Calif.; eight grandchildren, Justin Campbell, Hunter Irwin, Jason “JD” Irwin, Nicholas Irwin, Casey Irwin, Lane Irwin, Braxton Schmidt and Mary Streng; several nieces and nephews; his family, Jessica Taylor and Amanda Sabo, and his buddy, “Bertha” Beth Myers.

Family and friends are welcome to call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. only at McConnell Funeral Home, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050, where services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski, of the Hookstown Freed Methodist Church, will officiate.

He will be laid to rest in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
