Lillie Buchanan

LISBON — Lillie S. Buchanan, 88, of Davner Road, Lisbon, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at Salem Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Born May 26, 1929, in Replete, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Alma (Simons) Cogar.

She had worked in various area restaurants as a preparation cook. She was a member of the Lisbon Trinity Friends Church.

Her husband, Hubert Paul “Hub” Buchanan, preceded her in death, as did a son, Richard P. Buchanan, and a grandson.

Survivors include her daughters Sue Pritchard of Hanoverton and JoAnn Powell of Lisbon; s son, Ron Buchanan of Lisbon; three sisters: Ruby Lake and Geraldine Castro, both of Weston, W.Va., and Nettie Mellot of Crawford, W.Va.; two brothers: Bernard Jackson Cogar and Ted Cogar, both of Weston; and 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home, Lisbon, where the service is 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, with Pastor Ron Robinson, of her church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery.
