James ‘Jim’ Miller

CHESTER — James “Jim” Miller, 59, of Chester, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, after a brave battle with cancer.

Born Jan. 4, 1959 in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Brady and Audra (Neff) Miller.

Jim was a former welder for Waste Management.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Irene Lorello and a half-brother, Marlin Miller.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Christine (Gum) Miller of Chester; a son, James (Casey) Miller of East Liverpool; two step-daughters, Melissa (Mark) DeJane and Derinda Sarvey of Midland; three grandchildren, James II, Mallory and Dylan; four brothers, John (Sharon) Neff of New Cumberland, Brady “Gene” Miller of Lennyville, Allen (Dorothy) Miller of New Cumberland and William (Audrey) Miller of Lennyville; a sister, Mary (Jim) Frame of Lennyville; and three half-sisters, Nora Jane Thornberry of Newell; Margaret Hanna of Newell; Martha Lee (Jack) Riley of Chester.

Visitation will be held today, Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018.
