Shirley L. Jasenec

EAST LIVERPOOL — Shirley L. Jasenec, 75, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at the East Liverpool City Hospital, following a brief illness.

Born, March 16, 1943, in Wellsville, she was a daughter of the late Sally Farrow Moore and Daniel Shingler.

She was also preceded in death by her late husband Rudy Jasenec; brothers, Danny Shingler and Bill Shields; sisters, Helen Rogers and Della Jones.

Shirley attended Wellsville High School and later graduated from Chester High School.

She worked as a barmaid at several local clubs throughout her life including; Elks Lodge #258, VFW #66 and the American Legion in Midland; Shirley became a member of the American Legion #374 in 1964, she was a lifetime member of V.F.W. #6450 and a member of the Moose Lodge #122.

She leaves behind her companion, Bill Davis of East Liverpool; daughter, Sheila Jasenec and her companion Robert Joy of East Liverpool; granddaughter, Samantha Watkins and her companion Willie Criswell of East Liverpool; great-grandchildren, Zyler & Brayla Criswell; step-sister, Catherine Meisoner and Shirley’s dearest friend, Linda Wilson.

Pastor Dirk Hall will celebrate Shirley’s life at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park Cemetery in East Liverpool. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017.
