Phyllis J. Mazzio Metz, 74
WELLSVILLE — Phyllis J. Mazzio Metz, 74, of Wellsville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at East Liverpool City Hospital, after a year long illness.
She was born in East Liverpool, on July 2, 1943, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Winters) Metz.
Living her entire life in this area, she was a homemaker, a member of the Wellsville SOI, Wellsville Eagles and the Wellsville VFW. Phyllis was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and attended Holy Trinity Parish in East Liverpool.
She is survived by a brother, Mike Metz of Wellsville; a sister, Rose Tice and her husband Dan of Wellsville; nieces and nephews: Daniel Tice Jr. and his wife Lisa, Teresa Tomich and her husband John, Kevan Tice and Annette Reed; great-nieces: Erica, Ava, Nyka, Amber, Haley, and Breanne; great-nephew: Shane; along with her aunt, Betty Winters Mangano; and many cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Teresa, Mary, Angie and Anna; and one brother, Dominic or “Muzzy.”
A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Parish, with Rev. Father Stephen Wassie as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, from 2-8 p.m.
