Beverly Johnston, 77

CHESTER — Beverly Johnston, 77, of Chester, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Alliance, Ohio, a daughter of late Alvo and Margaret (McVay) Green.

She was a former waitress for the All Aboard Diner.

Bev was both a great lady and a determined fighter who displayed tremendous courage, class and grace during her illness.

Preceding her in death was her first husband, Marlin Miller, and second husband, Ivan Johnston; and a sister, Elva Taylor

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Kenny (Jan) Miller of New Manchester and Terry (Pam) Miller of Chester; a daughter, Jane Miller of Newell; five grandchildren: Brandon, Greg, Ashley, Stacey and David; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Triston; three brothers: Eugene Green of Calcutta, Jerry Green of Ohio and David Green of Toronto; and also by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017.
