SALEM — Bernice Anne Nelson, 92, passed away on Dec. 2, 2017, at Auburn Skilled Nursing, Salem.
Born March 4, 1925, in Valley Stream, N.Y., she was a daughter of Ira and Anne (Danneman) Hobson.
She graduated from high school in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Salem First Friends Church.
Her husband, Wilbur, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children: Linda Manypenny of Salem, Carol Denson of Chatham, Ill., David Nelson of Toluca Lake, Calif., Donna Dewey of Columbus, and Jim Shannonhouse of Marysville, Ohio; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
The funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Salem First Friends church, in the chapel, with Pastor Pete Fowler of the church officiating. Visitation is one hour prior. Burial in Cresthaven Gardens.
