Edna M. Williams, 91

FOLLANSBEE, W.Va. — Edna M. Williams, 91, of Chester, passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at the Mary Ann Manor in Follansbee, following a lengthy illness.

Born March 22, 1926, in Wellsburg, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth Croston Shriner.

A homemaker most of her life, earlier, Edna had worked at the former T.S. & T. Pottery in Chester. She was an avid card player, a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in East Liverpool, and she was a graduate of the Wellsburg High School.

Survivors include her children: Elizabeth Ewing and her husband Robert of Ft. Worth, Texas, Connie Malloy and her husband John of Raccoon Township, Pa., and Jody Shenton and her husband Mark of Chester; her daughter-in-law, Lee Ann Williams of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Thomas (Bobbie) Shriner of Wellsburg; one sister, Esther Marino of Wellsburg; her grandchildren: Ryan, Reagan, Ross, and Rhys Ewing, Sarah, Michelle, and Shaun Malloy, and Chelsea and Matthew Shenton; and her great grandchildren: Chase, Skyler, and Tyler.

Preceding Edna in death was her husband, Harry S. “Bob” Williams; her son, Harry “Skip” Williams; her granddaughter, Carrie Ann Williams; and her siblings, Clyde Shriner Jr., and Charlotte Downing.

Pastor Tom Schneidmiller will conduct a memorial service in the Chapel at Shadow Lawn Memorial Gardens in Newell on Friday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
