Howard Cameron, 87

PLAIN CITY, Ohio — Howard Cameron, 87, of Plain City, formerly of Wellsville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Jan. 24, 1929, in Plain City, to the late Dana H. and Ethel M. (Hennis) Cameron. A 1947 graduate of Prospect High School, he was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Howard is a retired shift Foreman from Ohio Edison. He and his wife have enjoyed many years of their retirement wintering in Leesburg, Fla.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Cameron and Damon Cameron; and sisters, Betty Almendinger, Lamont Johnston and Rosella Jordan.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris R. (Murray) Cameron, whom he married on July 13, 1952, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Prospect, Ohio; children Dana Marie (Dean) Hays, Paul Howard (Cathy) Cameron, and Adam Eugene (Amy) Cameron; grandchildren Jason Hays, Alana Burch, April Cribbs, Alisha Miller, Anna Swanger, and Wyatt Cameron; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister Annabelle Cameron.

Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 5245 Brand Rd., Dublin, Ohio 43017, where funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. John Morris officiating. Burial at Forest Grove Cemetery of Plain City.
