SALEM — Ethel “Dory” Caldwell, 87, formerly of Lisbon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at Essex II of Salem.
Born June 3, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Elmer S. and Pearl (Gunther) Day, Sr., and had lived most of her life in the Lisbon and Leetonia areas.
A graduate of David Anderson High School, she was a homemaker and had previously attended St. Jacob’s UCC Church.
Survivors include her brother, Dr. Elmer S. Day, Jr. of Salem; 2 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron Caldwell and son, William Stone.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas DeMar officiating. Private burial will follow at St. Jacob’s UCC Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
