Charla Lynn Keranen, 57
CHESTER — Charla Lynn Keranen, of Chester went to be with the angels in Heaven on Thursday morning knowing that life is eternal and her mortal body was left behind thus leaving her pains behind. She had just celebrated her 57th birthday on Oct. 17th.
A daughter of the late Howard and Verna (James) Hayward. Charla was the youngest in the family. Her sister, Loieta McDonald preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Scott and her daughters, Sabrina Cheuvront of Chester and Analissa (Michael) White of Weirton. Also surviving are her grandkids, Landon and Mackenzie. They were the joys of her life and energized her when she needed it most. Also surviving are her two brothers, Gary (Robin) Hayward of East Liverpool and Kelsey Hayward, and companion Patty of Chester. She also leaves behind her niece and nephews she raised, Alison McDonald, James McDonald and Stephen McDonald Jr. and also by a nephew Gary Hayward Jr. and by three canine companions, Lily Belle, Chelsea and Chloe.
To know Charla was to love her. She had a smile that would light up a room and her laughter was contagious as many theatre goers and her family would attest to. Her ability to act and sing was tremendous. Charla loved to tell a joke and tell it right. She was a member of the Excalibur Productions. She loved to play bingo. Charla attended the Glendale Church of the Nazarene and was a devout Christian. She knew her bible and discussed it often. Charla was a 1977 graduate of Oak Glen High School.
Visitation will be held at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, W.Va. on Sunday, from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at the funeral home. Pastor Scott Henry will officiate. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown, Pa.
When the light of one friendship after another passes from earth to Heaven. We can kindle in place thereof the glow of some deathless reality.
