BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -Robert Allen (Soupy) Campbell, 88, of Beaver Falls, Pa., died Sunday morning, Aug. 31, 2014, at Franciscan Manor assisted living in Beaver Falls after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 9, 1925 in Beaver Falls, a son of the late Harry and Velma (Landis) Campbell. He was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Mr. Campbell retired as a field planner engineer with Duquesne Light. He was also a member of the College Hill Methodist Church in Beaver Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Duffy Campbell; a son, Dale Campbell of West Chester, Pa.; a daughter, Cindy Nevels of Houston, Texas; two stepsons, Richard Allan Duffy of Marengo, Ohio and Ronald E. Duffy of East Palestine; five grandchildren; and a brother Kenneth Campbell of Grafton, Wis.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Campbell.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the College Hill Methodist Church in Beaver Falls with Rev. Larry Reitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Full military honors will be provided by the Highlands VFW Honor Guard. Burial will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester.
