ZANESVILLE – Donna Jean (Neely) Pastier 82, of Zanesville, died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at the home of her sons in Salem.
Born on Jan. 30, 1932, in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Carl Kenneth and Mildred Marguerite (Wilson) Neely.
She was a 1949 graduate of Salem High School. She was employed for a short time at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator.
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Zanesville.
Survivors include her children, Lori Kainrad of Ravenna, Tom Pastier of Salem, Diane Ackerman of Bolivar and Ken Pastier of New Franklin; a sister, Pat Ehrhart of Salem; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Pastier.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at the Salem St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Steven Wassie serving as the Celebrant. The Burial will follow where she will be reunited with her husband in Grandview Cemetery.
There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
