TORONTO – Clifford Fetty, 96, of Toronto, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at his home.
Born Sept. 5, 1917, in St. Mary’s, W.Va., he was the son of the late Herbert and Nora (Hescht) Fetty.
Mr. Fetty was retired from the National Steel Corp., Weirton Steel Co. A veteran of the U.S. Army 21st Aviation Engineers, he served during WWII in Italy and Africa.
His wife, wife, Ruth E. (Dennis) Fetty, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons: Richard, Herbert and Roy Fetty, all of Toronto; daughters: Linda McCourt of Toronto and Joyce Turick of Richmond; and nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 4, at Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at the funeral home with the Rev. C. Robert Meyer officiating. Interment follows at the Island Creek Cemetery, Toronto, with military honors provided by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
