Paul Geiger III

EAST PALESTINE- Paul G. Geiger, III, 62, of West Martin Street, passed away at 9:12 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boardman Campus, after becoming ill at home.

Mr. Geiger was born Oct. 21, 1951 in Salem, a son of the late Paul G. and Ruth C. Cordier Geiger, Jr. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a chef with the New Castle Country Club. A U.S. Army veteran, he had served in various states as well as Germany, being discharged as a sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Batta; a daughter, Ashley Buckius, Rogers, and two sons, Paul G. Geiger, IV of Lisbon, and Adam Bowyer, East Liverpool. He also leaves two sisters, Mary Ruth Miquelon, East Palestine, and Frances Weiss, Bowling Green; and nine grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Rev Christopher Cicero of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
