Jimmy Carroll, 84

EAST LIVERPOOL – Jimmy “Jack” Carroll, 84 of East Liverpool, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Parkside Healthcare Center in Columbiana following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Doddridge County, W.Va., on May 20, 1930, a son to the late James H. and Hazel (Ash) Carroll. Jimmy lived most of his life in this area working as a Pickler for Crucible Steel before retiring in 1981.

Mr. Carroll is survived by a son: Robert (Debra) Carroll of East Liverpool; four daughters: Cindy (Pat) Kacir of Warren, Rebecca (Benny) Gardner of Wellsville, Jacqueline Carroll of New York and Tammy (Kim) Lockhart of East Liverpool; two brothers: Bobby Carroll of Stow, Ohio, and Gail Carroll of Doddridge County, W.Va.; grandchildren: Jimmy, Scott, Carrie, Amy, Tia, Donnetta and B.J.; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean (Willey) Carroll, whom he married Dec. 16, 1950; and nine other brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Norm Eckert officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
