Willa Lee Carman Stewart
EAST LIVERPOOL – Willa Lee Carman Stewart died Sunday morning, July 13, 2014, at the St. Elizabeth of Boardman Health Care in Boardman with her family present.
Willa was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Monroeville, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Mildred Russell Carman.
She lived all her life in this area graduating from Salineville High School and cosmetology school in East Liverpool. She was Methodist by faith and enjoyed traveling, yard sales and was well-known for her charitable donations especially to the Highlandtown Auction. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother and will be remembered for her beautiful and contagious smile.
Willa will be sadly missed by her husband James L. Stewart, whom she married on Nov. 25, 1961; three sons, James L. (Laura) Stewart II of Salem, Russell Stewart at home, Steven L. Stewart of Wellsville; two daughters, Colleen (Shawn) Kelly, and Tamara (Gregory) Hole both of Minerva, Ohio; three brothers, Wayne (Irene) Carman, Nelson (Joyce) Carman, Tom (Leigh) Carman; one sister, Joann (Gary) Lyons; 12 grandchildren, Michael (Tricia) Hole of Canton, Jennifer Hole of Minerva, Tanya (Chris) Hafner of Minerva, Ashley (Jim) Govro of Japan, Nathan (Amanda) Kelly of Austintown, Jacob Kelly and Shanna Kelly both of Minerva, Brandon Quinn of Salem, Samantha Reedy of Salem, Kellie Stewart of Akron, James Stewart and Ryan Stewart both of Salem; three great-grandchildren, Emmet, Seth and Alexis Hole.
Willa was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Carman
As per Willa’s wish, a private family service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville with Pastor Tom Allmon officiating. Interment was in Bethel Church Cemetery.
