BELLAIRE, Ohio – Richard E. Shaw, 72, of Bellaire, passed away June 15, 2014, at Wheeling Hospital.
Born April 27, 1942, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Everett and Ruth (McCoy) Shaw.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was founder and owner of “Git Er Dun Pilot Service” in Bellaire.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Terrill) Shaw; four daughters, Denise Griffin and Teresa Shaw, both of East Liverpool, and Tammy Williams and Shirley “Ann” Herron, both of Wellsville; five stepchildren, Harold Haught and Janice Selmon, both of Barton, Ohio, Melvin Haught of Wellsburg, and Kenneth Haught and Diane Duda, both of Bellaire; and 28 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard (Ricky) Shaw, and a stepdaughter, Denise Moody.
Services were held June 19, 2014, at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, Bellaire, with Pastor Gary Henthorne officiating.
Graveside burial in Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
