Lena D’Eramo, 96

MIDLAND-Lena “Mimi” D’Eramo, 96 formerly of Mechanicsburg and Midland, passed away July 21, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services, Camp Hill, Pa.

Born Jan. 3, 1918 in Midland, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Leona Collela Rosatone, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg. She owned and operated, with her husband, one of the first pizza shops in Beaver County. Alongside her son, she worked for over two decades in the restaurant business. Mimi loved to bake for family and friends, and also enjoyed gardening and crafting. An avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins, she also liked Pitt and Notre Dame.

Preceding her in death, besides her parents, was her husband, Anthony D’Eramo, two sisters, Josephine Navarroli, Mary Esapovich, three brothers, Anthony, Philip and Samuel Rosatone, and a son-in-law, Jerry Sorge.

She is survived by two sons, Frank D’Eramo and wife Kelly of Beaver Falls, Lou D’Eramo and wife Carolyn of Vacaville, Calif., two daughters, Donna Sorge of East Liverpool, Ohio, Jeanette D’Eramo of Mechanicsburg, a sister-in-law, Mary “Dolly” Rosatone, Midland, seven grandchildren, Tony and Philip D’Eramo, Vacaville, Calif., Denise D’Eramo, Midland, Dr. Brian D’Eramo, Harrisburg, Jennifer Williams and husband Jeff, Mentor, Ohio, Tony Sorge and wife Sarah, East Liverpool, Ohio, Morgan D’Eramo, Center Township, seven great-grandchildren, Jessica D’Eramo, Medford, Ore., Grace D’Eramo, Fairfield, Calif., Dante and Calli Sorge, East Liverpool, Ohio, Aiden and Mia Williams, Mentor, Ohio, Tasha Jones, East Liverpool, Ohio, a great-great-grandchild, Aria LaQua, Medford, Ore., and a large family of nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Friday from 3 to 8 pm in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Blaise Parish Church, Midland, by Father Michael Yaksick. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery.
