Eugene P. Michael, 73
IRONDALE – In the comfort of his home and surrounded by his loving family, Eugene P. Michael passed peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2014. He was 73 years old.
On Aug. 18, 1940, he was born in East Liverpool. He was a son of the late Max W. and Thelma Oldfield Michael.
For 15 years, Gene was an Iron Molder at Correct Foundry and later worked five years in the maintenance department at the East Liverpool Evening Review.
He was a member of the Prayer Temple and currently had been attending The River Christian Fellowship Church in Empire.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his sisters, Kay Lynn Michael, and Patricia Severs; and his brother, Calvin Michael.
His loving wife of 45 years, Patricia A. Blackwell Michael survives at home. He also leaves his children, Holly A. Earich of Irondale, Glenn E. Michael and wife Brenda of East Liverpool, and Gregory Michael of Irondale; his sisters, Dixie Martz of Lisbon, and Penny Moore of Georgia; his brothers, Daniel Michael of Georgetown, David Michael of Negley, George Michael of Midland, and James Michael of West Point; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Jacob, and Brittany Michael, Rachel, and Angela Earich, and Matthew, and Brianna Hawkens.
The family will receive friends at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Monday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Pastor Dirk Hall will conduct services at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and interment will follow at the Calcutta Cemetery.
