Alma “Gay” Jarvis, 84

WELLSVILLE-Alma “Gay” Jarvis, 84, of Wellsville went to be with her heavenly father, Monday, June 2, 2014 at Lifeline Hospital, in Wintersville, Ohio. She was born in Stratton, Ohio on April 15, 1930 a daughter of the late Carl and Nora (Dillon) Jarvis.

Having lived her entire life in the area, she was a graduate of Toronto High School class of 1948 Alma worked as a clerk for A and P as well as Superfoods. She also worked in homecare.

She is survived by a sister, Nova Hebron of East Liverpool; a nephew, Terry Jarvis and his wife Mary of East Liverpool; two nieces, Regina Falaska and her husband Joe of Toronto, Ohio and Becky Thompson also of Toronto, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Jayne Jarvis of East Liverpool.

In addition to her parents Alma was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Jarvis and Jack Jarvis and one sister, Emma Thompson

A service will be held at the Chapel of Spring Hill Cemetery on at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 with Pastor Larry Rose officiating.

In lieu of flowers, family request that a memorial contribution be sent to a favorite charity in Gay’s name.

The Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes has been entrusted with these arrangements.
